4/10 many people will believe this. I honestly have no idea what Nate ran. He could have finished in under 2:20 or he could have dropped out at mile 1 I have no clue. All I know is that 2:56 doesn't get you anywhere close to 75th.
Looks like a DNF. No split at 35K or later.
DNF I think. Not in the results. Nothing on his twitter or blog so it probably went poorly. Maybe his leg problems flared up again.

Sorry to everyone for falling so far short today. Struggled pretty early on. Was hurting real good by 15 or so miles. For some reason it seemed like a good idea to stop for a moment at 19 miles when I did I passed out for a moment and some nice spectators took me to the medical tent and my day was over. No serious issues to worry about. Just a bad day. Again sorry to let you all down and thank you so much for the support.

Class act. Humble in the lead up, humble in defeat. Keep on plugging Nate, you've got at least one fan here!
I wonder if he'd still advocate that brutal workout he did (ie three 10K's at MP average, seven 1K road repeats all in the midst of a 37 mile day). Seems like it might be like the elusive 60X400 at Mile pace - a little Quentin Cassidy-ish.
