If you could pick any 3 events/sports to make into a triathlon what would they be? Also, what place would you finish at US and World Championships in this event?
Rules:
1. It must be a sport. A sport is competitive (crossfit is not a sport), requires physical activity (chess is not a sport), and usually has a national governing body (no games that you make up in your backyard).
2. Must be an individual event (no team sports like basketball) that does not require an opponent for scoring (no tennis, table tennis, etc.).
3. Events may take place in any indoor or outdoor venues, but must not require any travel between them. For example, If you want it to be golf, bowling, speed skating, you better find a golf course that borders a bowling alley and an ice rink.
4. The final event must be a head-to head race of some kind. The other events may timed or scored events. If your events are xc skiing, archery, and balance beam, the xc skiing must be last.
My triathlon would be a round of disc golf followed by a 10 mile no-draft uphill bike ride and a 3000m steeplechase. Whoever has the best disc golf score starts the bike leg first and everyone else starts 30 seconds back for each stroke they were behind. The bike leg would transition directly into the run like a regular triathlon. I think I could come in top-5 in the US and top-25 in the world.
