This question is directed towards trackhead and others who have experience training in minimal shoes:
For some time I've worn racing flats/spikes for tempo runs and intervals (currently Nike Streak Ekiden/Streak Spectrum Plus) and have always found that I run very efficiently in racing shoes at higher speeds. My question is how does running at a slower pace in flats translate in efficiency? Will I still be more efficient than in trainers (I train mainly in the Adidas Supernova Competition)? I'd like to eventually transition to full-time use of racing flats, but have been wondering how much of a transition it will be to run SLOWLY in them.
Thanks for any and all serious replies.
