Im not a an 800m runner But my coach has been placing me in a bunch on weeks i dont steeple . And i just need some advice on a good way for a distance runner to run an 800. Yesterday I ran 1:59.1 . but I split 62-57. I wasn't very tired either but the problem ive been facing Is I just dont have the ability to start as fast as middle distance runners and I get stuck in last. yesterday I was forced to have to pass 13 guys in 400m. Ive NEVER ever been someone to race from the front in any race but is it always better to run an 800 to die? I always feel like I have alot left but I just dont know where to use it. so I try going out in a 57? how do distance guys run 800s?
