3:43.72.... But he raced. He did not get dropped like he was getting dropped in the indoor season.
Stay healthy GF. It was fun to see you win a race again.
you beat me to it! haha GERMAN IS BACK BABY! he really did have quite a kick and looked so comfortable throughout. smoothest runner!!
So he's back to where he was as a senior in high school.
In an interview on Flotrack before the meet he said he had about a year of uninterrupted training so far after years of injury problems.
It's good he's progressing but he has a year+ to improve a lot and then beat others who are already been at the top echelon nationally for a while now. Tall order but German (kinda like Webb did in his prime) is the one guy that can pop off amazing performances unexpectedly.
Don't sleep on this kid - he is a dark horse for Rio 2016 for sure. Lots of question marks but a massive engine to get him there. Although I highly doubt he will make any noise at the trials htis year for World Champs. Just not enough time.

What? You are the winner of todays most stupid comment. Perfect evening , perfect conditions its worth exactly what he ran.
To be in the money by nationals he will have to find 6 seconds beyond todays 3:43. Great race by German!
Yeah - I like how he won while the heat before was run in 3:40.77 and there were 4 guys with faster times... So thread change to "GERMAN IS BACK, BUT ONLY BACK ENOUGH TO LOSE TO A COUPLE DII RUNNERS AND SOME GUY FROM STRAVA TC". Can't wait for the thread "Does German have a chance to make the Worlds team after his smooth 3:43 at Stanford?"
Yeah but did you see how relaxed he looked? So smooth, so relaxed, could have gone at least 3:38
You must remember his history. 3:43 today 3:34 in a week.
Today he raced , it was not a time trial.
Once again, nice racing. Stay healthy.
even if he'd lost his shoe, he would have been good for dfl.
So he looked really relaxed? THAT'S THE BEST NEWS I'VE HEARD ALL WEEK!!!
That heat you are talking about was better paced! On German's heat, they run the first lap slow, plus the wind started kicking on the third heat. If German would have been on the second heat, he would still won it.. I'm saying this because I was there.

He's obviously joking.
Even though his 3:43 is only worth a 3:43 though, if he stays healthy for a couple months he really will run 3:34 as previously mentioned. The guy is a total freak of nature.
Let' see the race!!!!
FYI He didn't actually win... The winner came out of one of the slower seeded sections and ran 3 seconds faster. So give credit to the guy who actually won the overall race.
When he flexed his muscles going across the finish line, did anyone else think "Congratulations, you just won a sit and kick race against a bunch of college kids"? If he'd run 3:35 or beat anybody worth mentioning, it might've been worth it. Instead he just looked stupid.

He's been healthy for awhile now and he's only running 3:43. What makes you think he'll run 3:34?
So glad he won. Can't wait to see him go for a spot on the Olympic team next year.
he was running races around this time within a few months of his 3:34, so this does not mean that he will be running 3:40s all year. this is a good sign. he's continued to race. he won a race. he probably is progressing very gradually with the pace of his workouts so as to stay healthy but build up eventually to a trials qualifier and then better in Europe after the trials. He has very little shot at qualifying but I'd never count this guy out.
Totally agree. That was really classless.
