I am trying to figure out if this is an expression I stole from somewhere or if I am its originator. When we were children a few friends and I would use the phrase "So? You ain't got no legs!" as a stupid comeback to really any type of put-down or insult. Eventually this was picked up by a lot of people and became a famous comeback nationwide (this was in the mid-90's). Now I cannot remember if I cadged this from somewhere, maybe a line from a movie or something, or if it came totally from my own head.
Example of use:
Guy A: "You're dumb as shit."
Guy B: "So? You ain't got no legs!"
Can anyone help out? PS- this had nothing to do with running. I could see how, this being a running forum and the legs being usually used for running it could be construed first as some sort of a running-specific callout. When I was using this phrase I was not a runner, and none of my friends were runners, and the "so? you ain't got no legs" line had nothing to do with running at all. I feel like it might have come from a Chris Tucker movie but that's why I'm asking here.
