You guys suck. In over a decade of reading this site, I've never been fooled by you on April 1, but I just spent twenty minutes in shock over the Aman and Ches headlines.
Well done.

I was so excited for the alberto salazar documentary. A-holes.
I have to agree. I was totally fooled.
Every story was juuuuuuust close enough to reality to keep me from realizing the joke in my early morning stupor.
Well done LRC.
My dream is for the Salazar group to be exposed. When I saw the headline about the film/doc, I thought my dreams would become reality. I have gone home devastated.
This site has something other than a message board?!

Me too! I thought, how can Oregon justifiy this?!! It's crazy... then I remembered the date.
I read the Oregon article and thought "wow..." I skimmed it then read the last paragraph saying it was a one on one match at the pre classic. I don't know why the hell I believed that. Once I got to Aman's I finally caught myself
Future Oprah interview with an anonymous coach
Oprah Winfrey: Did you ever give banned substances to enhance your athletes' performance?
Anon "Yes."
OW: Was one of those banned substances EPO?
Anon "Yes."
OW: Did you ever blood dope or use blood transfusions to enhance your runners' performance?
Anon "Yes."
OW: Did they ever use any other banned substances such as thyroid medication, diuretics or L-Carnitine?
Anon "Yes."
OW: In all of your runners' medal performances, did you ever give them banned substances or blood dope them?
Anon "Yes"
OW: Is it humanly possible to win a middle or long distance medal without doping,?
Anon "Not in my opinion. This generation. I didn't invent the culture, but I didn't try to stop the culture."
OW: For many years you didn't just deny it, you brazenly and defiantly denied everything you just admitted just now. So why now admit it?
Anon "That is the best question. It's the most logical question. I don't know that I have a great answer. I will start my answer by saying that this is too late. It's too late for probably most people, and that's my fault. I viewed this situation as one big lie that I repeated a lot of times, and as you said, it wasn't as if I just said no and I moved off it."
OW: You were defiant, you called other people liars.
Anon "I understand that. And while I lived through this process, especially the last few years, I know the truth. The truth isn't what was out there. The truth isn't what I said, and now it's gone - this story was so perfect for so long. And I mean that, as I try to take myself out of the situation and I look at it. You overcome the depression, you win the Comrades Marathon, you start coaching, you have world class athletes, you have a happy team. I mean, it's just this mythic perfect story, and it wasn't true."
It's funny, I read all that stuff and didn't flinch, until I got to the one about MB posters having to register, thought "WOW THIS IS HUGE", then finally realized the date.

Same here. I was actually looking forward to the April fool's page, and it still caught me off guard (in my defense, in this time zone it's April 2 already...) Read the Aman article fully and got more than halfway through the one on Ches & Jenkins before I realized what was going on. Was surprised a bit by Rudisha's alleged reaction, but I thought the fake Symmonds comments were spot on... Well done indeed.
Great, just great page. I laughed hard reading about Soprano. Obviously fake but good fun all the way to the shut-off.

I decided that I can only devote hours of my workday to one train wreck of a sports website.
(Love you guys. I can't quit you.)
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
