Calling former mizuno precision wearers: which shoe now ?

    I recently found much to my horror that my training shoe of choice that has served me very well over the last 10 years has been discontinued, and I wasn't quick enough to scoop up several pairs from the last model.

    So I'm wondering what a worthy replacement would be.

    Mizuno point to the Sayonara as a successor but I'm not sure that I buy it -- it has the lower heel drop, and I really don't want something that feels like a racing flat. The precision is a shoe I used for my recovery runs, I do my workouts in mid to lightweight flats (for example Asics Tiger Paws, Nike Streak XCs, Skechers GoRuns, Asics Tiger Paws)

    I've picked up some Asics Blur 33 and these are a candidate, though I like the precision more.

    What are other people running in ? At this point I think I'm tempted to try the new lighter Wave Rider (which I've worn before some time ago)

    When my last pair of precisions went flat I switched to the Nike Zoom Elite. I started with the 6 and they were okay. I decided to stick it out and try the 7s and I absolutely love them. I am on my 3rd pair. If they released the Precisions again I'm not sure I would switch back. Like you, I was in the Precision for 9-10 years.

    Also, I switched from the precision, to NB 870v , and found the slightly lower heel drop better for my mid foot plant. Had a few failed attempts at the asics ds trainers/light speed . For what ever reason , I develope blisters and hot spots on the current asic shoes.

    I loved the precision and had several pairs. Tried the Brooks Launch and hated it even though every other runner thinks its the best shoe ever. I tried a couple of pairs of Asics and they were way too soft and didn't feel right in the upper. I tried the Nike Vomero and I'm on my 9th or 10th pair and I've picked up 7 more pairs in storage.
