A 46.0/21.5 is probably the shape he's in right now, but he's gone faster and probably can go faster at 2/4.

Based off of that a 56-56 would be a jog to him, but thats probably all he'll do given he's still focusing on the 4 and has no experience with middle distance. I say 1:52/1:53 but I hope I'm wrong, I hope JW breaks 1:50.

that's not how it works

but i'm guessing he's done a few time trials over 600 or even 800 in practice by now, so i don't think he'll go out too fast or do anything really dumb.

Yes, none of us know if he has put any focus on this (i.e., actually trained a little for the 800, rather than just doing 98% of his typical 400 training), but I think that if he put any effort into the training, he'll break 1:50.

52/57 *should* be extremely doable for him, but we'll see.

JW is in a heat with a group of guys hoping to break 1:55. What he should do is hang with them and see what he has in the last 150. If he follows my advice, he'll win and run low 1:5x as needed.

Anyone else having live feed issues? I was able to see the womens 4x100 but that's it.

It's back up and the men's 4x100 relay just ended. It's weird to me that the blocks weren't removed from the track and the relay runners had to dodge them after finishing. Maybe they're short on volunteers. JW is being shown warming up.

It's probably worth mentioning that Wariner isn't in the fast heat according to the heat sheets.
