Can you go out a couple more decimal points?

Huddle and Flanagan might be the only clean runners on that list.

I said "around" 13% and would consider anything within 2 percentage points of the mean as pretty consistent. The Flo Jo times are out of that range and suspect. She, Marion Jones and Carmelita Jeter ran the 10 fastest American times in the 100 between them.

There is no pattern. All I see is a random spread of data points. Are you sure you know how to science?

With the world records the women are a bit closer. This means American women are even slower than American men.

FE Huddle is about twice as far off the 5000 wr as Lagat is. Slaney is more than twice as far off the 3000 record. Clark is twice as far from the WR as Gray is. Kastor nearly twice as far off as Hall.

Only 3 US-held world records total anymore. America is beaten.

The spreadsheet simply calculated the percentage difference between the men's and women's times in each event. Nothing complicated, but the advertising on LetsRun messed up the formatting of the graph. I've added two more decimal spaces below.
