Yeah, man, after about 200 miles everything is done! It is my favorite shoe, and they don't need to be broken in. They feel so good up to about 187 miles, and then after that, the shoes just can't provide proper midsole and sole support. You will start to feel slight aches in your calves and on the side of your heels. If you're a supinator, and I am a supinator, they'll degrade even quicker.
The cool thing about it is I relegate them to grass running and track running after the soles and midsoles have degraded.
However, even though they are a great shoe, I'm tired of running in them. They are a go to shoe for me, so if I can't find another superior running shoe to run in, I know the zante will always be there.
The fresh foam is just simple EVA foam with nothing added to it. It's not a dual foam, where EVA is mixed in with something else. Just a layer of EVA, which is why it breaks down so quickly.
