I've heard from two different sources in Portland that salazar no longer trains farah. Both sources (neither know each other on a personal level) stated the same new name as being Farah's new advisor. Can anyone here substantiate that Salazar no longer writes his workouts?

I think the Farah-brand has gotten big enough that Mo uses multiple coaches, and does not follow a single coaches plan exclusively. Only Mo knows what Mo needs.
You would think with his success he would never leave Salazar
Leaving Salazar, and using multiple coaches, provides Mo with the luxury of traveling to train anywhere he desires. He can certainly afford to stay away from his home in Portland for a a good part of the year. Life must be nice.
I understand that but having one coach oversee everything tends to work better than multiple coaches so you don't end up being pulled into too many directions. I would think it could mess with your cycle and peak
Assuming that Salazar is no longer Farah's coach, I predict that "someone" will slip up, getting nailed by WADA in less than a year.
It seem to me that Farah is overseeing part of his own training. This makes sense to me, and also, that Farah will be a coach in the future. Farah may be setting the groundwork for a future coaching career.

I know he's done altitude stints and everything, but he's still barely ever in Portland
The way he and Rupp train through different phases of the year is completely different, especially since they're under the same coach, it's like they're apart from each other from Sep-April and then they meet back up in May-August
he seems to be sporting his own "Mobot" logo over the NOP one recently...
Perhaps Nike Marketing is trying to make him into the next "Jumpman"

Farah's success had more to do with the fields weakening than with Salazar. Farah was already a 12:50~ guy before joining Salazar.

Farah wants to be a marathoner and Salazar probably isn't the best marathon coach in Farah's mind. If Farah's goal was the 5 or 10k wr, I'd say leaving Salazar would be crazy. However, the world's best athletes sometimes have to make decisions like this when a couple seconds a mile could be the difference between breaking a wr in Lisbon and just breaking a UK record.

It isn't the solely the kick. Most of the benefit if from sitting behind competitors and letting them do the wind breaking for you. When the kick starts, you are better rested than other runners if you maintain a tight sit position as long as possible.
I'd assume Farah is still with Salazar. His website says he is and the NOP website says Farah is still with them. That would be pretty big news if Farah left Salazar. We probably would have already heard.
Mo is still making money off of Nike endorsements. Does being part of Nike and NOP require an athlete to use Salazar as their only coach? It already known that Mo is training with coaches who are not named Alberto Salazar.
