Champ Boys 400 Finals Section 2 – 2015 NBNI
Wow, she flew about 10 feet in the air. It is fortunate that nobody seemed to be seriously injured.
The girl was run over by two guys. She got up; no problems. The boys collapsed and needed assistance.
Why was she so close to the finish?
Winners like running through the "winner's tape"

Janitor picking up bottles or some shit.
It's very painful at the end of an all-out 400 meters even without mishap. To have a sudden jolt like that and end up flat on the track was probably pretty stunning to the runners. That girl was tough and jumped right up. She obviously underestimated how fast they were approaching the finish line while trying to retrieve her side of the dropped finishing tape..
Honestly? Wtf was that girl doing. Seriously. She shouldn't be going to college
I don't mean to change the topic (that was an awesome crash), but can we stop a second and talk about the commentating? Oh my God that was f'ing horrible. I know it's milesplit and they're owned by flotrack and they're known for that sort of thing, but come on. It sounded like a couple high school freshman got their hands on a microphone and wanted to hear themselves talk and trying to out-shout the other one. Extremely immature. The flotrack group at pro/college meets do better than that I think.
Holy crap are those announcers annoying. No idea what the finish line crew was thinking, though.
I thought the announcing was great! Obviousley these guys are very young, but love the enthusiasm. Beats hearing Tim Hutchings repeating the same catch phrases over & over….
Two points:1) Ouch. 2) The commentary is fine.
"Five people hit the track and there were only four runners in the race."
Larry Rawson would chime in about how we should go down to our local track, run 400 in 46.5, and then run into someone to get a feel for the impact.
…and these guys knew to immediately relay the splits to us & recognized in the 400M boy's final that the 200 & 300 meter splits were INSANE!!!!! Watch the whole video of this epic race & tell me how you would have done better...

You're joking, right? She flew like 1-2 feet tops- basically- she got knocked over.
"he wham-sauced the meet crew!"
Priceless!
Also, as a person with various reconstructed bones:
I had a visceral reaction to the arm bends as lead runner his the floor. PRAISE BE nothing was broken. Seriously.
Doofus mee/eat crew.

That was the highlight for me.
By the way, was the winner DQ'd? At 48 seconds he clearly cut in before the cone and the official threw up a yellow flag.
Yes he was DQed.

Why would they have a tape at the end of the race? Crazy. It wasn't her fault anyway, the tape was too short, but why would they even have a tape in 2015? Stupid, just stupid.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
