Impressive run by her, what was even more impressive was the negative splits too, I believe they went out in 3:06 the 1st 1k
For a minute there it looked like she might have had a kick in her to win, but Scott is just too good right now
Keep in mind this record was previously held by Mary Cain, then Alexa Efraimson, now Cranny, these 3 girls keep going at it, I'm really excited to see what all 3 of them do in the outdoor season, but I have a strong feeling that Cranny's going to make the biggest jump this season
Elise Cranny breaks Indoor 3k American JR Record!!

After the first 1k, I definitely thought the finishing time was going to be over 9:00, Dom and Cranny just took off
-
I kind of expected her to break it, with Sisson in the race, I knew it was going to be an honest pace (even though she didn't take it out), if not Schulist who had fresh legs, and even she made it decently honest

She's a lock for the 3k next year
Just like Soratos is for the 1500m outdoor this year -
You could tell the field so tired from their previous events
I'm suprised Schulist got 9th considering she was fresh
Great run by Cranny though -
Can Elise win the 1500m outdoors? She still has the fastest PB at 4:10.95, but O'Conner, Houlihan, and Quigley have run equivalents, assuming Quigley/O'Conner both just do steeple, that still leaves Houlihan who has 2:01 speed, but Cranny is at 2:04, call me crazy, but after Houlihan getting 9th at NCAA XC, 2nd in the mile, and 8th in the 3k, she's def not unbeatable, I think its possible
-
Not if Catrina Koogan has anything to do with that
-
Cranny beat Coogan at Husky Classic, ran a faster splits than her on the DMR, and beat her by quite a bit today in the 3k, think about it
-
Im really surprised this hasn't gotten that much attention so far, 2nd for a FR is ridiculous enough, but an AJR to go with it

She's even been better than Jordan Hasay was at her age -

Great run from Cranny. I Stanford record also?
-
As the OP stated, Cranny now has the indoor USA Junior record.
She also put herself on two other lists worth noting:
Outdoor/Indoor marks considered together, Cranny's performance puts her #3 on all-time USA junior list (1. Ceci St. Geme 8:57.27, 1982; 2. Cain 8:58.48, 2014).
Cranny is now #10 on the world all-time junior indoor 3k list. -
What happened to Sisson? The 5000 NCAA record holder completely didn't respond when the two took off, like she wasn't even trying. Before the race she said she was just doing the 3000 "for fun," indicating she maybe wasn't taking it seriously. Why the F not?

Ranks second behind PattiSue Plumer's 8:53.1 from 1983.
Even Stanford can't spell Plumer's name correctly.

Considering how much talent has been at Stanford I'm suprised thats only #2 -
Elise Cranny, outdoor 1500m champion, you heard it here first folks!!!
-
If it's tactical and really slow then no, Houlihan
If it's an honest pace, I don't see why not?
Unless Quigley and O'Conner double -
Well the NCAA schedule now makes it to where doubling is harder so I don't think Quig and Conny will double
