At that intensity, you should be able to do good endurance work in the same week.
Depends what distance you are best suited to though. A hard 4x1 mile session (5000m pace) get heart rate up to 98-100% in the last rep. 5000M pace is excellent endurance training for a middle distance runner, they will get much more endurance benefit from that session than a long distance runner.
What you suggest sounds more like 10k pace to me.
