I'm going to be traveling and training at 9k ft. Is it safe to bring a baby to altitude or is it not a good idea because their lungs might be small?

Just make sure the baby only does easy runs for the first week. He/she will adapt.
Baby's lungs are way too small. No baby should ever be at 9000ft, that's why people who live at altitude have to come down to sea level to give birth and live there for 18 months until the baby is strong enough.
The Incas brought children to much greater heights.. Of course they left them there.
No, it will explode.
Don't drop it!
I brought my babies to Silverton, CO in the summer. They did just fine, even on jeep trips up over 12,000ft.
Anything over 4345 feet for a baby is lethal.
You are a baby your baby is an adult. One day you will die and the baby will pass on your defective genetic information. Better not to train. Better to forget your troubles in an Arby's booth.
Please enjoy Arby's
My babies have both flown at over 35,000 feet with absolutely no issues. Your baby will be fine.

+1. Just make sure you keep baby in a pressurized vessel.
