I wont even run outside unless it is 60 degrees. I wear my shorts over tights when it is under 70.
Back when I started running before they even had tights I routinely ran in -20F in my shorty short BR nylon tricot split running shorts.

Only joggers refuse to wear tights or layers below 55 degrees.
This is no joke. If you want to run fast, even over distance, you need your muscles to stay warm. Cool weather reduces their supply of blood and thus oxygen and ability to clear acid.
If you sprint in cool weather without warm clothing you will get injured.
serious? I'm always injured in the winter. Calf strains. I always wear shorts. Never thought about the connection.
It is usually really warm in my part of the country, but this year I decided to try out tights for those occasional cold days. It was a massive failure.
Under 52 degrees and I will wear a shirt
Under 40 degrees I will wear a light layer over my shirt (North Face better than naked jacket)
Under 30 degrees I will add socks over my hands
I have ran down to 22 degrees (windchill to 17) in shorts and felt fine. Haven't experienced much colder weather.
I have tried some tights and I always feel like they affect my stride. I tend to run into a problem that tights that fit my waist are way to small for my quads. I have a size 30 waist.
Anything under 70 degrees, I wear tights.
I love schweddy balls.
