What I don't understand is how Meb says he is going to go "to work at Home Depot" for a little while now that he is taking a break from running. I thought he was sponsored by Nike and he got a solid amound of money from them, in addition to all his prize money and performance bonuses and appearance fees and US National titles. The man is the American record holder in the 10,000 and a silver medalist in the Olympics! There is no way he should have to go to work for Home Depot. Unless he is just doing promotional work for them somehow. I just can't understand how a runner who has as many credentials and especially he latest performances, would have to to work a normal job at all. I don't see Bob Kennedy (I know he has more of a history and has been around longer), but also look at Culpepper, Kastor, etc. Anyone with any more info on this? Thanks.
