I am interested what others think the start up money for running shop would be? Any other ideas please throw them out there, thanks.

If you have to ask then it's more than you have.
I think it would depend on what your inventory is going to be and what services you're going to offer. If you're going to try to be everything to everybody, offering a full line of clothing, supplements, gadgets, gait analysis, etc., then it's going to be a lot more than if you're going to be in the business of basically selling shoes and a few other things. But it all comes down to what your vision of the store is going to be. Here's an article from Entrepreneur magazine that can give you an idea. This person started out with $98,000 for their running store.
thanks for the info

Who's "they"? "Or can get" was implied, retard.
We had just started up a running specialty store and we had to ask and came up with close to $80,000 (mostly for inventory). Good question, but ultimately it depends on your location and the size of the store.
thanks, where is your shop?

Frank, what a great idea! I'll tell my clients! Wow! I see a ten-bagger within six months! The sky's the limit! Get in on the ground floor! It can't miss!
Henry, I thought you were in jail. You should be.
Nah, I'm just chillin' in my NYC penthouse, making a living by warning suckers about sleazeballs like me. For example,

Typical of this board to have people treat a genuine question with contempt... I hope the store opens to rave reviews and blesses a ton of people!
