That's a very, very good performance for a world class hurdler...
In the history of the world, only 40 hurdlers have gone sub 7.50
...now, for a decathlete, it's completely amazing...
He must be wondering to himself. Why am I doing the decathlon? Why am I training so hard? I could simply do this hurdle thing... I could probably be world champion at this event, if I concentrated on it...
Isn't Ashton Eaton's 7.51 for the 60H completely insane?

After watching him strut around the track yesterday, he's in love with himself too. He should carry a mirror around with him.
-
Oh, get off it, dude. He deserves it. Oly champ and WR holder in the decathlon can do whatever the heck he wants to. Judging from your negativity, is imagine you're from New York or New Jersey.

Where's the joy in being the jack of all trades
He's not the best at hurdling because he got beat yesterday
He's not the best in the world in any of his other events either
The multi events are overated -

How does: Decathlete runs a 7.51 60H...
Become: Ashton Eaton is not really that good in anything really..
I guess that if he ran 7.39, we would still hear: that's not even a word record..
Incredible... -
people say the multis are overrated, but the fact is he is the perfect balance of strength, power, endurance, skill and coordination, as well as flexibility.
He is worldclass in many of his events, especially long jump and hurdles. -
The guy quite simply is not human. Was at the Armory last night & sat at the side of the wall he catapulted over at the end of his race. Saw the whole thing. Guy first of all scales the wall like it's a 30" hurdle then goes over the other side on his back, practical lands on his feet (this is a banked track, that was easily an 11 -12 ft. fall, just missed sticking the landing!) and comes out unscathed. NOT human!

Not endurance. He needs to race at least a 5k performance. -
…"Not endurance" Funny. Was at the Trials in '12 and saw him participate in 10, TEN, events over the course of 2 days in July. I think the 10th event was a 1500 meter run, which he ran fast enough to break the world record for decathlon points. No endurance indeed.

No it's overrated just like every other Oregon performance
-
Hurdles are junior running events. The main event is the running, and if you can't run fast then you try the running while jumping over shit.

is there video of this any where? -
Eaton can strut all he wants. He is an Olympic Champion, a World Champion, a World Record Holder and does everything very, very well. My suspicion is that in another couple years he will focus on the Pole Vault. He is very fast in the sprints, has amazing jumps and has the best combination of strength and flexibility I have ever seen. IMO, he is a natural for the Pole Vault and, if he focuses on the event, I would not be surprised to see him go well over 20 feet in a few years.

It would be funny to see you going against a shitty runner hurdler like Eaton. You, with no barriers against Eaton going over hurdles (110 meters).
Just to see how shitty Eaton really is compared to you... -
I saw it from seats on the backstretch, then went over to check out what it looked like behind the barrier afterwards. It is AMAZING that he did not kill himself... he hopped up on the top, on his butt, facing back towards the hurdles, then went over the back edge. It's a maze of aluminum supports behind the signage and padding, like you'd see as the framing for an exhibit booth at a trade show. And as said earlier, a good 10' or more to what appeared to be a concrete floor. Someone told me he grabbed part of the structure on the way down, I don't know how else he could have landed on his feet, he was headed for a landing on his back or head from the way it appeared. I have photo's from the jumbotron that they showed afterwards, his right arm is outstretched, appears he could have latched onto something on his way down.
Probably a better performance than his hurdles or LJ! -

Oh please. The decathlon is nine mickey mouse events followed by a slow 1500. (not my quote but accurate) -
Yeah here it is:
