We've just published a Q&A with Olympic 1500 silver medallist Leo Manzano who will be opening his 2015 campaign this weekend in North Carolina at the Camel City meet.
We won't put it up on the front page for a few hours but wanted you, the most faithful LRC visitors, to get a first shot at it:

Leo talked to us from his high altitude camp in Mexico yesterday.
Will Leo the Lion roar in 2015? Q&A with Leo Manzano before his 2015 opener at Camel City

His PR is pretty close to Webb's. That would be pretty cool if UT guy would break 1500 American record. Then UT runners who competed in NCAAs would have fastest all-time PRs for both 1500 and Steeple. Morceli?

Very, very confused by your post.
The American record belongs to Evan Jager. He didn't go to UT.
What does Morceli have to do with anything.
Moving on. As for Leo, I think he'll be a force this summer but doesn't he always run awful indoors? The thing that struck me about his interviews was he once used the word "okay" to describe his current training. He's a competitive little **** so we shouldn't discount him but I'd be very surprised if he won. -

He has an indoor NCAA mile championship and an indoor USATF 1500m championship on his resume.
But just a 3:56 PR.
He's never been in top form indoors but does run indoors for training purposes.
I'm just wondering if he can run his consecutive streak of top 3 at USA outdoors to 9 straight years this year.
The competition is getting deeper. -
Go Leo!!

"high altitude camp in Mexico"
A country with no control over its prescription drugs... I wonder how many random drug tests he submits to while he's there. -
Getting real tired of this "Leo the lion" crap... I like Manzano as a runner but as a person he's always been kind of weird and awkward, like in interviews.

Sorry for confusion. I meant that Univ. of Texas had runner who ran at NCAAs in steeple who had all-time best PR - Patrick Sang. If Manzano broke Webb's PR - he may or may not have all-time PR of NCAA runner - not sure if Moreceli ran NCAA - think he did. -
Dewey, you are tired of Leo the Lion crap? I swear Letsrun readers try to tear down the best in America and in the same sentence can't figure out why our sport is dying or dead. Another idiot on here insinuating he is using drugs. Ahhhh, such ignorance!

He ran junior college but Bernie Lagat, Nick Willis, and Sydney Maree ran in the NCAA
