Spandex or commando in Tights?

Tights are made out of spandex, dimwit.

Man, I forgot. Because you are so wise, will you answer my question? With intellect like that, I bet you simply know what I was so feebly trying to ask!

I generally wear Spandex/Compression Shorts under tights, to me it is exactly the same with a little more security if you catch my drift

I wear running shorts under if it's really cold and/or windy. I guess spandex would work, but I'm not about to spend $30 on something I'll only wear under tights.

I have usually double layered. Short over short or long over short. Sometimes with a new and high quality pair, I'd go single layer short.

If you are talking long, if it's cold enough for long tights, it's cold enough for half tights under. I've certainly never worn long tights commando style.

And no one with any sense has ever worn running shorts under tights. Or over for that matter.

Huh? It's a good protection against the wind, I don't have to buy anything extra, and I'm not ruining my underwear by running in it. Tried using boxer briefs before, and they did not hold up.

is it cold? the colder it is the more I want another layer under those half tights.

I used to go commando in races in half tights but with some half tights it just does work... like white ones and the ones that have a single seem for the crotch which makes my junk go down one leg which is just weird.

When I began wearing 3/4 length tights when to weather turned cooler; I never gave it much thought about wearing anything underneath or on the outer. I relized one spring day; as the weather turned warmer, I noticed some reactions from a group of females making a comment, "He should wear support down there". After my 12 mile run, I had a quick glance at myself while going by a mirror on the way back to the locker room at my local gym. I saw what they might have been talking too themselves about. The imprint of my privates. The seam of the tights divided both. I now wear some older split running shorts over the tights to cover up. Also, I find that the low profile jock supporter from Road Runner Sports works well underneath the tights to fight the inseam grab.

Neither. Dri-fit briefs hold everything in place much better than a second pair of boxer-briefs.
