I just got a pair of the Nike Waffle 3 racers for training. Is it safe to train daily in them? Most of my running will be done on pavement/grass off to the side of the sidewalk. I also was also thinking of rotating between my flats (ghost racers/old addidas taper) that I have had since high school and have only worn for races...waffles=speedwork and flats=long runs/base.
I recently started switching to flats and did a runone Monday in the waffle. It went: 2miles warm-up on sidewalk, 4 miles of 800's, and 1 mile cool down and I fell fine except for some sore calves.
What are some good (and cheap) minimalist shoes for people who do a lot of training on pavement?
