My pair of Piranhas are pretty worn out.
How do the Blazingfast compare? I prefer the classic look of the Piranhas, but need something new.

The Blazing Fast is more like the first version of the Piranha but without a heel counter. But the Piranha uppers on all versions are mesh and the Blazing Fast is not mesh. As the Piranha evolved, the sole became a bit thicker with each incarnation so if you've gotten used to the later Piranhas you'll find the BF much thinner soled. I'd say to imagine the original Piranha with a non-mesh upper and no heel counter and you've pretty much got the BF.
I was a long time user of the Piranhas and recently switched to the Blazingfast a few months ago. Very similar, but the Piranhas "felt" the road a little better IMO. Blazingfast seems to provide a little more stability (but no added weight). If you liked the Piranhas, you'll probably be at least fairly happy with the Blazingfast.
So blazingfast has no heel counter, but is more stable? Strange. it doesn't have medial post I hope.
My Piranhas are the SP3 version. I used them for up to 10kms with no issues. Hopefully the BlazingFast can handle that. Again, I don't care for the look.
They look like were styled for triathlons.
Thanks for the input. I might try them out.
