Springsteen was a talentless musician who wrote lousy lyrics and couldn't sing. He probably made it through mob ties. Italian, New Jersey, always singing about mobsters, dedicating albums to James Gandolfini, and van Zandt was on the Sopranos too. I wouldn't be surprised if Frank Sinatra performed with them.
I actually saw them before they were ever popular. In fact it was a one day music festival where 900 foot Jesus was the biggest headline act. Dread Zeppelin I think was the next most popular band. After that it was a couple relatively unknown bands called No Doubt and Rage against the Machine.

hard driving, protesting rock music. they created a new incredible sound that has yet to be replicated. and were authentic to their causes.
everything that rock music stands for is encapsulated within Rage Against the Machine. they did everything.

He sure turned things around, I guess.
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE... in their prime, untouchable. They had passion, rAGE.. saw them in Mexico City, it was unreal.
seriously?
This is not even close. Journey is the greatest rock band of all time, if not the greatest band of all time.
