Hogwash. I am sure Aris cares about all 25 of his runners (per gender). Including the 29 minute girl. They all generate momentum and energy, for team success. How couldn't he, with such small rosters? Every single body is a potential contributor. Has to be. I am sure he would prefer his pick from larger rosters. I am sure he doesn't limit the size of his rosters to 25. Absurd, comical (or flat out retarded) to assume otherwise. The comment about "only" going on to become successful in the more important life endeavors, is in response to those with limited sight, who so frequently say that his runners are not "success stories" beyond high school. As some have correctly noted, the probability of any of the nations top high school runners transferring this success, to commensurate success in the NCAA, is very, very low. The spotlight is on ALL of Aris's runners, talented or not, due to their national success. What is comical, is that many do not see this. On the note of selflessness, there is nothing taught more prominently in Aris's program. A practice which he too, lives by. Take a look at Wetmore's NCAA runners. How many of them go on to become splashes on the professional level? Is this not the same comparison? Equally, absurd?
Aris's results ARE in fact mind boggling. That's the point of this thread. Let's just leave the moronic assumptions out of it.
