Wouldn't have a clue on the next best time myself mate, 2nd race of the season for most of these kids.
Hale has run 10.42 (+0.7) and 10.44 also legal. Browning has run 10.37 (+2.4) and 10.47 (+1.6). Williams ran 10.51 (+0.1) to win the Youth Olympics. Yes, the winner of the Youth Olympics 100m was 3rd in a domestic championship race (!!!) Shelley has 10.61 (+1.7)
2nd, 3rd and 7th place were born in 1997, everyone else 1998. This was the national Schools championships (for athletes born in 1997 or later only) and not a season opener for any of the competitors, however most of the athletes will be aiming to peak in March for the national Junior championships, which are always the selection trials for world youth/world junior champs.

2nd was born 1997 but 31 Dec amazingly. So still 16. Top two would probably have been high 10.20s with a 2.0 wind. Until two months ago the Aust U18 record was over 10.50. Now two 16yos are well under it. Until 3 months ago one of them was a long jumper and the other a rugby player.
Check out that browning kid. He looks pretty dumpy for being that fast. I wonder if that means he has the most upside.

Jack Hale also has a pretty large upside, I mean he only started sprinting a few months ago and ran a 10.46 in long jump shoes.
Very impressive. And a little bit of baby fat at that age is not a bad thing, they will lean out in time, which will shave who knows how much time off!?
Worth a 10.3 at sea level with no wind, astonishing for 16. Worth looking out for at World Youths next year.

Dumpy? Must be the photo. The guy is cut. Look at the quads.
He's got upside though as he hasn't been sprinting for long either.
Hale makes Lemaitre look like the twig he is. Him and Browning could put on a lot more muscle in the next few years with careful training.
Wind = 3.4 meters per second is equal to 7.6 miles per hour.
According to Ryan Hall, this isn't windy! LOL!
Remember this guy coming through the ranks too. 14 year old James Gallaugher won the U16 Australian title in 10.67.

Lol! Those two doughboys ran sub 10.20? Riiight. Can we get a remeasure, a clock check, and full blood work?
Honestly, I guess you have to believe it, I'm mostly kidding about remeasuring etc, but it's really hard to swallow.

fast running with the wind probably more impressed with the 13 year old girl running 4:25 and 2:10. Those times would win most state titles in US.
