So my coach is fairly good and led many teams and runners to states etc. Anyways, this indoor season I want to run the mile instead of the 1,00m to get a better resume for college. I boast a 2:40 pr in the 1,000 and a 4:40 mile (which I ran once) but mostly run the 1,000. Now, I know im not crazy good but want to run in college and eventually break 4:15 in the mile (im a junior.) I believe I can break 4:30-4:25 in the mile this season because I have been working hard. What do I tell my coach when he tells me I have to run the 1,000? We don't have any good mile runners but good 1,00m runners. Any thoughts?
