NXN loophole, Tamagno at FL?

That team wouldn't win the CA state meet let alone NXN.

All star teams are no fun.

I believe that it would give them the second fastest team time of the day behind Ventura at 1:17:54. Compared to the 1:19:18 Brea would have ran without Tamagno (still good for 3rd in DIII). So the all star team would have earned a ticket to NXN.

The short answer to your question is a very long time. While yes the race is a club race the members of the club have to attend the same high school. Several teams have tried over the years to get around that rule but have been detected and teams removed from the entries.

There has been speculation for years about how an all star team could be formed and entered but it simply isn't allowed.

Sorry, I didn't answer the second part of your question. The team that qualifies should have the same members but limited substitutuions are allowed. In this case they would be allowed to back fill his slot with an other member from the same school. This would be treated as though it was an injury substituiton. Each team is allowed to declare one alternate.

Some guys from NY tried to form an all-star team for Nike and were told No- the runners in the "Club" have to go to the same high school.

What If a runner lives in say Pa but goes to school in NY. Could the runner run in the NY region?

That has happend in the past. A girl lived in Vt but went to a school in NY. She ran for her NY team. If she had not run for the NY team she could have run as an individual from NE.
