I'm currently training for track and field during this winter. My coach said my max mileage should be around 45. My question was that would it be bad for my to jump my current weekly mileage from 26 to 32. The previous week I went from 19 to 26 and my body seemed to handled it fine. From there if I did do the jump to 32 for next week I would try to get up to around 40 by the end of December. I'm just concerned about how much time I have to train and build an aerobic base before I start track and field, to see how well I can do. I also want to improve on my 5k time (which is like 18:48). My goal is I wanna try to qualify for the state meet for XC next year, and I just wanted to improve and work as smart and hard as I can and not have injury.
