Is there a live stream?
-
Flotrack just tweeted someone who asked the same question. Apparently there is not a lead cart/vehicle for the race, so no camera.
-
The elite run is great. The non elite race is a mess. It's treated more like a fun run. 10k runners will have to weave in and out of slow walkers from the 5k.

Repeating for emphasis:
Alexa Efraimson (USA) (!) -
Are there live results?

The Manchester (CT) Road Race has more prize money, with a total of $49,300, and it sounds like Silicon Valley is more of a clusterf*ck for everyone but the elites.

Garrett Heath ftw! Great finish with him, Casey, and Estrada. Low 13:30s
Diriba unofficially in 15:[email protected] stumbles to the finish -

Apparently she was in 4th until she collapsed a few yards from the finish. Sounds like a similar situation to her race at Stanford. After seeing Cranny finish 12th NCAA xc, I think Efraimson should have ran for her hs then compete for a college. Efraimson's team won the WA state meet and their NXN regional meet, maybe with her they could have had a shot at the NXN title. -
Any full results?

Cause for concern? This is the second time it's happened in as many months. -

that is weird - it happening twice.
at least competitors didn't stop and carry her over the line. Lord I hate that. -
She must have some type of undiagnosed disease. Poor girl and poor sponsors that invested in her. I would rather have Mary Cain 10 x 10.
-
OK, when I read this at first I figured she must be a drama queen or has some sort of anxiety around losing. However, watching the clip on instagram it appears she is just going beyond the normal limits of what your brain can make the body do. I'm actually really impressed.
Hopefully this is not an eating issue, that would be much less impressive. -

On a national day of thanksgiving you are criticizing a 17 year old girl. -
...who decided to go professional...

I heard today she went out with the leaders and at Stanford she took an early lead. She probably got too used to being able to run from the front and dominate in hs. I think she would benefit from starting off slower and working her way up. -
Nothing posted that seems to quite capture the true holiday spirit....
GOBBLE GOBBLE MUTHERFUCKERS!! -
i completely agree. I think for her next few races it would be very smart for her to go out a lot slower and have a strong finish. She should do this until she can get a better grasp on what her body can handle. I'm also very impressed with the will she must have and the ability to push her body to that sort of breaking point. But as you can see it is not a good thing and is very dangerous. If she were to go out 10-15 sec slower per for her mile split she would be able to save the collapse for after the finish.

Results?? How are there no results out yet with an elite field like this? Ridiculous.
