"The U.S. economy grew faster than first reported, giving the country its strongest six months of growth in more than a decade."
Time for Flagpole to say "I told you so"

Glad to hear it
Not surprising, now that the GOP is getting the country on the right track.

I think it's time for every one to say "Thank you President Obama."
I'll help write the rest of the long thank you that is due this great President of ours.
"Thank you President Obama. Thank you for eliminating bin Laden. Thank you for your guiding hand that saw the unemployment rate drop to 5.8% and the stock market roar to record highs. Thank you Barack (sorry to be so familiar, but I feel I know you so deeply) for the leadership you have shown which has allowed companies to make money hand over fist and has given us 6 months of growth that America hasn't seen since 2003. Thank you for saving the auto industry. Thank you for saving the banking industry. Thank you for championing the rights of all people regardless of their personal preference. For more jobs, more opportunity, more money, thank you. I would say you are the greatest thing since sliced bread, but that ain't all that great, so I guess you are simply the greatest. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Signed,
Every American living or dead, even the Fox News boot lickers"
I a big Obama supporter but that thank you note made even me want to puke.
GDP also includes government spending. Increase government spending, increase GDP.
I'm sorry, liberals, did I spoil your moment?
Flagpole, this is quite lame in terms of trolling. Your real man, huge biceps, great keyboard player, financial expert (in response to your own question posted under another name) are much better.
2/10 for this one.

Only if you can tell us how much of that 3.9% can be attributed to increased gov spending.
1. Thank Bush and the military for getting Bin Laden
2.Thank a resilent economyand its' ability to overcome the poor policies of the Obama Administration
3. Thank the Federal Reserve for driving stock prices above historical valuations
4. Thank Eric Holder, Al Sharpton and others for inflaming racial tensions
5. Thank Thank Hank Paulson and Timothy Geithner for saving the banking system and automobile industry
Flagpole - you set the bar high with your Real Man diatribe. This effort falls well short of that piece.

Both Clinton and Obama (after 2009) cut gov't spending as a % of GDP.
Draw a line through the Bush presidency--including the Bush depression-- and you'll see what an increase in gov't spending looks like.
The timing of the GDP correction (i.e., waiting until after the election) is really suspicious, don't you think?

Don't get roped in, brother. I wasn't even trolling here. It is simply a joke.

Lord, I am sick of the conspiracists.
you know you are inane to think this, right?

Not a troll effort. Just being silly.

I admit to trolling-- but with a purpose.
Every time there is a revision, the conspiracy theorists come out and scream that it was done to hurt the Republicans' chance.
Here the revision actually helped them. I just want to make sure that they are aware of it.

Well, I honestly don't give credit to Obama (or any President) for how the economy goes, and my thank you letter was just a joke, BUT, in all honesty, while tracking bin Laden and his cohorts goes all the way back to Clinton's Administration and includes Bush, Obama DOES get some major credit here that Bush does not. Bush said bin Laden was no longer important. Obama refocused the sights on him on day 1. The seals carried out the plan, but Obama made it a priority and he absolutely gets credit for doing so.

The real man thing was NOT trolling. He was DEAD serious about it until he took major heat, and only then did he claim it was a goof. Backpedaller of the highest order.
