Even with a moderate warmup the cold whether must slow you down a little when running outside... And I'm talking about 30 and below weather. When running speed type runs like 100-300m how much do you think your ideal times should differ if that workout was ran in the heat 1-3 seconds?
Cold weather completely shuts down sprinting. You shouldn't even be doing short sprints in sub 30 weather, you're tempting injury.
The SEC completely dominates sprints because it never gets cold there.
If you wear clothing your times will barely suffer at all.
Nobody on here is "sprinting" anyway.

I can't attest to the 100-300m distances, but a rule of thumb that I use for normal distance running is that I run about 15 seconds slower per mile during the winter (mid October-mid April). My normal run during this time includes a hard-packed snow surface and temperatures around 10 below, but this can vary by 40 degrees either way. The darkness (we have approximately 5 hours of daylight now) can also add more time to this if it makes me especially unsure of footing that day.
For races 5k and over, I prefer 30 degree weather to 70's.
I live in Maine and I find on days I do 150s it can be 1-2sec depending on temp and surface. When doing tempo runs which I do just about every week I have seen 10-15sec slower at temps around 20 degree. With warm clothes I can pretty much run the same pace as normal in the 30s but once I get under 30 degrees I start to see the slowdown in my tempos etc

Surely the extra layers of clothing will slow you down a little, even if the cold didn't?
I’m good till about 20°F. I run in short sleeves but with gloves and a hat on. But I do live in a very, very dry climate. When running away from home in humid places it seems like anything below freezing is rough. I can feel the impact on my lungs. Could just be my imagination though.
