It's XC man. There is one stat that matters: place.

The 5k split was about 1510 so that 4m split was not accurate.

Since they jogged the first half, I'm guessing that the 5k split was also not accurate.

Flotrack reported the 4K at 12:42. It's more likely that 15:10 was the three mile split. Regional courses are well marked, so it's doubtful that their split reports are that inaccurate.

Don't have any idea how accurate course or splits were, but chip splits for the race were taken at end of each lap. First lap is a little longer than last 3 because start loops around, but Korolevs splits were:

755, 1520(725), 2235(715), 2933(658).

I watched leaders pass the 5k sign just before chip mat at 1510. Again, don't know if accurate, but that's where sign was. At approx 2500m/loop that means first 2 loops were about same. Third was about 5sec/k faster and final loop another 5sec/k faster.
