Apparently two weeks ago she did a workout:
5x 800m with 1min rest + 6x 10" hill sprints + 5x 800m with 1min rest.
2:38, 2:37, 2:39, 2:30, 2:38 for first 5x800
2:34, 2:35, 2:34, 2:33, 2:34 for second 5x800

That's 2:35.2 average for each 800m (+/- 16:10 5k-pace)
Does anyone has an idea what the purpose of this workout is??
It's only her 4th week of training, I guess she's laying the base foundation for the rest of the season. I honestly can't figure out what the purpose of this workout is in a base phase.
She did a tempo run in the beginning of this week. Obviously with the hill sprints thrown in there's a strength endurance component to it...
