I realize that it is hard, and to an extent even pointless to predict Marathon times before any significant specific training, but I'll ask anyways.
I am a senior in high school and planning on running a marathon next summmer. While a middle-distance runner, I have been running fairly high mileage throughout high school, peaking at 90 miles/week, this summer, for a total of 700 miles in 10 weeks in singles.
My PR's are 2:02, 4:37, and 16:31 XC.
For the preparation next summer the plan is to put the mileage up even higher, peak around 100-110 miles a week, with a weekly long run of 20-25.
Would a 2:50 marathon be a realistic goal?
