Her whole history with the doping violation came out of a refused test after the Gold Coast Marathon - which she finished, placing 2nd, in what was (would have been?) a qualifying time for the 2008 Olympic Trials Marathon. Even if that result was later "erased" because of the doping violation (was it even?) I don't think you could call this year's Chicago a marathon "debut" for her.

2014 Chicago marathon is her "Debut" in that they scratched her first marathon in Australia due to the inhaler she used. What kind of idiot doesn't prepare a TUE form. that's like doping 101
she ran 2:37 and change so she failed to meet the A standard by seconds...She easily made the B standard...so it'll be interesting to see what happens with scherf's career .. will she focus on only marathons? Will she get back on the track for 10k? I feel like she's talented on the track but running chicago has me doubting her olympic goals on the oval...btw why the helll doesn't he train with a group, always solo???
