A few things worth noting.
Here are the results from the fan polls that appear in men\'s preview.
73% of people think KB will win the men\'s title.
21% though Eliud Kipchoge would win.
6% other.
100% of people think the winning time will be under 2:05:00 with 56% of people thinking we\'ll see a course record of 2:03:45 (including 8% who are predicting a world record).
It\'s worth noting that despite what you may have been reading in the mainstream media about the weather bieng \'perfect\' - it likely won\'t be perfect for super fast times.
The temps will be ideal. 48 at the start. 51 or 52 at the finish (plus sunny). But weather.com is saying the wind will be out of the SE at 9 to 11 mph.
http://www.weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/graph/USIL0225?pagenum=2&nextbeginIndex=6
That is a little too windy to be described as \'perfect\'. The good news is that wind be behind them when the come home as shown by this course map:

In terms of the women's race - 86% of you have picked Rita Jeptoo as the winner, 11% F. Kiplagat, 3% other.
63% of you have picked Amy Hastings for top Amereican.
20% Clara Santucci .
6% Lisa Uhl
11% Other. -

As of 4am temps and wind are trending higher than planned. 53 degs with winds gusting to 20 mph. May get up past 60 for the race. Typical of Chicago to be warmer than predicted. Lakefront traps heat.

Will the nbc chicago stream work worldwide?
If not, anybody knows of another stream? -

No. Currently 47 deg with 7 mph wind. No way it cracks 55 by the time the elites finish; the forecast high is still 59.
9-10 mph SE wind. -

stream just went live -
OK. Nice. Seems to work here in Europe.
-
This stopped working in Europe at 7am local time. Any other links?
-
Scratch that. It works again.
-
If it's not working, or if it gives you only audio--as it gave me--just refresh a few times.
-
Temps look good & wind better than predicted earlier. 49 degrees now & winds at 2 - 8 MPH. Maybe 5 degrees cooler would be best, but close to ideal. Stream good for me, just gotta deal with coverage by 13 non runners telling us about the great pasta & pizza in ea. neighborhood!
-
Sounds like Hutchings in the background. Is he doing the race? And with who? Carrie T.? Reavis, yes!!
-
4:34 first mile..
-
First mile in 4:34 way too fast
-
Wow!
