I'm racing on Sunday. My legs are kind of feeling dead from lots of training. I don't really want to taper on the mileage. Should I run 4 and 6 on Friday and get up at 6:00 AM or should I sleep the extra hour before work and run 10 in the evening? I think the extra hour will be beneficial and if I take the 10 ridiculously slow, then I'll be fine. What do you guys think? Is there really a benefit to running a 4 miler and a 6 miler?
