What's the most improved 5k time you've seen from high school runners in one year? I've seen a kid jump from 18:30 to 16:00 from soph to junior

This thread already exists.
21:00 to 17:00 but that is not as good as yours.
I went 5:33 to 4:53 in the mile in one season.
What did you run the next year Jake?
I had a friend improve from 23:00 freshman year to 17:40 sophomore year. He had mono all of late summer and early fall of freshman year though, so that doesn't really count...
But a senior on our team was PR'd at 18:10 last year, and so far this year his PR is 16:00. He got huge into cross training after last season apparently. It was weird because his times freshman to junior year hardly improved, then HUGE improvement.
For track freshman year I ran a 16:17 3200m then sophomore year I ran a 12:54.
For 5k sophomore year I ran like a 24:36 and then junior year I ran a 22:22.
I went from 17:03 to 15:55 after bumping my mileage from 25 MPW to 50 MPW.
Sophomore year I ran 19:55 for a 5k and then as a junior last year I ran 17:56!
i went from 24:50 as a slightly overweight out of shape freshman to 17:50 as a sophomore i lost about 20 pounds and put in alot of miles over the summer
my buddy went from 27:xx freshman year and took it down to 16:49 at the end of sophomore year
Coached a kid from 19:30s to 15:57 in 15 months
Another from 5:04 to 4:26 in same track season, 2.5 months
went 58.3 to 53.1 in my 400 from soph to junior year, jumped from 18:59 to 17:53 freshman to soph year. That 400 time increase is crazy though

Lol yah ok.
I dropped just over 3 mins 20 seconds in one year.
Josh Evans of Linn-Mar in Iowa for sure ran 17:50 his freshman year in a JV race and ended up taking 2nd at state his soph year, running 15:10. That's more impressive than 18:30 to 16:00
He was injured his freshman year. He also ran like 4:26 and 9:31 the same year
Freshman year so far....25:00 to 23:30.
I know some guys who, sophomore to junior year, went from ~18:00 PR to a 15:00 PR
I ran 25:02 in July and PR'd with a 19:26 yesterday. I'm a junior but this is my first year of XC. (Ran track last spring, got a stress fracture and missed all of May and June)
20:10 (end of last season) 17:50 (so far this season).
I have another kid at about 2:00 improvement and they make a point: Autumn holds no secrets as to how summer was spent.
