I went to a bar tonight with no intention of drinking but I met a cute girl and went back to hers. Long story short, drinking ensued. I left an hour ago and I now realise that I am screwed. I have a group long run in less than 5 hours. I had 6 drinks but I suffer from severe hangovers. I am throwing back carbohydrate drinks with electrolytes.
Any more advice?
HELP!!! 23mile long run in 5 hours and I am drunk right now . Hangover cure needed quickly!!

drink a quart of water. do about 20 jumping jacks while letting your abs go limp. throw up until all the water is out. take 400mgs ibuprofen. go to sleep. wake up. do not eat anything. drink a little bit of water and take 400mgs of ibuprofen and 6mgs/kg of caffeine. you'll get through the run fine. you'll be wrecked an hour after it, but who cares you can sleep right?

The first time I drank I had a 15 mile run the next morning. I had a hangover, ran the run at 6:30 pace. Jogged backed to my apartment afterwards and threw up. I had a hangover until 3-4pm in the afternoon. You may just have to suck it up at this point. If it's too much, cut the run short. We all mess up.
And seriously... A severe hangover off of 6 drinks? Come on man. -

As a college All-American who had my long run every damn Saturday at 6:00 am..... Take a multivitamin with a glass of water and an electrolyte pill. You tend to pee out all your water soluable vitamins while drunk as well as sodium ( duh, we know that) . I have had some of the best long runs of my life hungover. It's a weird phenomenon. Maybe it was the guilt? Who knows.
