He's on the way back!! He couldn't break 15 for 5k 3 months ago and is now destroying everyone. I think it's time we forgive and forget. He made a mistake and deserves a second chance.

When pigs fly
Maybe he's actually using it properly this time instead of just using it once to "sabotage" his career.

I guarantee you he will be running in the WC's next year and Rio.
Drug cheat probably still on the juice
What event would he attempt to make in the Olympics???
I have met Martin a few times and I know it's not an excuse but he's one of the most down to earth guys I have met. He had problems, he may or may not have only used once but people should cut him some slack. He has had to put up with incredible scrutiny for the last few years. His father told him to promise he would go back competing before he died. He deserves the scrutiny he got and he will live with it for the rest of his life.
I don't believe he will ever make the same mistake again and deserves a chance at redemption. The pressures of competing at this level are intense and if you are not mentally strong, you will crack. He accepted his ban. As long as he's clean now, I have no problem with him competing.
And the LRC circle jerk begins...

Piss off LetsRun. When Gatlin destroys everyone in the world, sure there are some negative comments but he is largely celebrated. When Martin Fagan wins a half marathon against a bunch of sub-elites you flip shit. He's allowed to compete, deal with it.
Yeah Martin!!!!

Gatlin is NOT celebrated by the majority of the people on this board. In fact, the words "drug cheat" preface his name more often here than any other athlete.

Mary Slaney and Regina Jacobs could probably challenge that
Is he going to run Dublin? 2:18 won it last year.

There is talk of him running Dublin. 2.17 only won last year because they were late getting a sponsor and couldn't afford to pay to bring elites over. 2.08 is the course record. If the Elites go to Dublin, Martin doesn't have a chance of winning. He will probably wrap-up a place for the WC's if he runs. I don't know what the story is with Alistair Cragg but he hinted he might run Dublin earlier in the year. Cragg and Fagan going for the national title would be interesting.
They are two guys who have never really performed in the marathon. I can't understand why the elite Irish runners don't run Dublin. It was good enough for John Treacy and Jerry Kiernan, why isn't is good enough for the current athletes or the ones from the recent past. It wasn't unusual in the 80's to turn up to a small road race in Ireland and see Jerry Kiernan, John Treacy, Neil Cusack and Dick Hooper at the start line.
Cragg is running NYC and training in Boston with 2:14 man Tim Ritchie.
