Makes sense that his run would be the most heavily affected by lingering problems from his injury. If I recall correctly, it was his right leg that was temporarily paralyzed after his injury, which more or less means that a large number of nerves or nerve/muscle connections were damaged.
His swimming should be affected minimally since his upper body should be fine. The cycling and running should both be impacted by that, but cycling less so since less leg movement is involved to begin with. Since he's effectively running with a new leg (either fewer or newer muscle fibers), it would be completely baffling if he was able to run the way he did before.
