Agreed. I think the reason that so many casual track fans love Bolt is because they can see someone clearly walloping the field with a sizeable lead; very few of them actually know the difference between 9.9, 9.8, 9.7, and 9.6. (On a side note, does anyone really know the difference between those times until they run it themselves?)

By the same token, it's fun to see Gatlin kick ass. Unlike a middle-distance or distance race, a sprint where everyone is separated by a few hundredths is boring to me.
