It is a 5 shot revolver and is rated for .357mag, but I use 135 grain .38SPL +P rounds.

Being mostly constructed of Titanium this weapon is really light and portable. It is very reliable but won't group like a larger hand gun. The trade off you get for having a light and easy to tote BUG. The double action trigger is also a plus as it greatly reduces the chances of having an AD.

I haven't tried running with a semi auto but with the right rig a Glock 19 may be possible or perhaps that new Glock 42? The only turn off of the 42 is the .380 cartridge may be to anemic, even by handgun caliber standards.

I generally pack two 44 magnum Ruger Blackhawk 6-shooters in lowslung holsters gunslinger style. One on each side, to keep me from getting out of balance running. Also a 50 caliber sniper rifle with bayonet, and two bandoliers of ammo crisscrossed across my chest. And I'll tell ya what, none of them damn hobby joggers try to pass me.

While I think this is a sarcastic trolling attempt, I will bite. Although I have never run with a gun, I do sometimes entertain the idea on some of the solo trail runs, hikes and fishing excursions I do around here. The mountains near my house have fairly robust mountain lion and black bear populations, so there is a legitimate reason to have a side arm with you on a run. One of the members of a running club I used to train with up in Idaho Springs was killed by a mountain lion that had it's den near Clear Creek High School back when I was doing a lot of training with them about twenty years ago, so don't make too light of the idea of running with a fire arm.

Ruger 357 magnum in a chest holster while running in Bear country. Heavy as crap and I hate it! But I don't hate it as much as getting my face chewed off. I've actually been happy I had it once. No shots fired, but surprised a bear in a dumpster only a block from home. I also left it behind once and wished I had it. Bears should have been hibernating but again came up on one way too close in the trash.

I use the M107 Barrett 50 cal sniper rifle. It's affordable and portable.

That sounds legit. Do you use a bonded or heavy lead (buffalo bore) round? Very experienced big game hunters usually suggest heavier rounds to penetrate the hides of wild bears.
