I, too, was formerly interested in running at Tufts. I tried emailing the coach to ask about times and stuff, never responded. In my east coast college visiting trip, we were still visiting Tufts. I tried calling him 2 days out, and twice a day out. Didn't answer the phone. I, after going on a tour, tried to walk into the athletic office and find him. Some other kid was there getting a tour, and I went to the secretary and explained the situation and tried to ask her if I could talk to him. She went into his office (light on in the freaking office- obviously there), came back over, and told me he wasn't there. I told her I live on the west coast so I couldn't visit again and asked her to tell the coach I stopped by. (I know what you're thinking, but no, I'm not ridiculously slow. All the other coaches I've emailed have at least responded. Even the Dartmouth coach at least talked to me.)
Literally six months after I emailed him originally, I get an email from an assistant coach at Tufts responding to this email I sent like nothing happened.
To quote the email- 'That can help me jumpstart my discussion with admissions in the next couple of weeks.'
Literally goes from no contact to offering help with admissions. So I'm already over the school but it's my backup so I say 'what the hell' and respond. Didn't even send me another email.
