Why is the picture out of focus?
Yes, but who is the Greater Boston star? Is he the next Billy Rodgers?
Joan Benoit Samuelson.
I am going to out myself. That is me holding Meb's hand.
I was about ready to drop out around the 4th Mile and Meb and Joan came out of nowhere and Meb turned to me and said, "Keep it up man, your doing great" He reached out shook my hand and asked my name. After telling him he said "come with us". I had no choice obviously, how could I turn him down. We chatted a little bit, amazing how much energy I found after that. They started to pull away a one point and a 30m gap grew and Meb looked back at me with this look like "Get back up here", so I put my head down and got back up. Approaching the finish he said "We are finishing together" and grabbed my hand and raised it. I never run well at Falmouth but this was easily one of my favorite races. Meb is just unbelievably, incredibly nice. So surreal!
Also, Joan is unreal. Also super nice, but I don't know how she still races so hard (with all due respect!), absolute machine!
joanie
who's the chick on the extreme right?
speaking of joan benoit - she ran a 97% AG race - that's phenomenal. Almost at world record pace. 6:13 pace for 7 miles over a hilly, hot course.
she is the epitome of distance running
start young
be world class, win OG
keep racing
still be among best in world in AG
You talking about Kevin?
That is crazy holding hands for 7 miles, plus all the other runners they must have been blocking.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
