I don't even get $25,000 a year. Damn.

Just looked at Waters' bio on the Alabama website--wordiest thing I have ever read. If you contributed to these accomplishments, get in there and say something! No one does this much on their own. You're working for less than $500 per week (and I assume you're a college grad)?!? Waitresses make more. Get your butt in gear and apply for another job. There are so many out there--be willing to relocate and step up to the next level. You need to advocate for yourself. If you follow this message board, then you know there are a lot of opportunities out there for those who are willing to be brave and speak up. Get motivated or don't waste your breath.

About 10 years ago I was offered a head coaching job at a major east coast University.
$90,000 a year.
I'm serious.
I didn't take it (I actually make over $70,000 now) I'm happy where I am.
Lets take a look at how Waters' teams have done in the SEC meets the last two years:
2012 XC: M-11, W-11
2013 XC: M-11, W-6
2013 Indoor: M-7, W-10
2014 Indoor: M-4, W-10
2013 Outdoor: M-12, W-6
2014 Outdoor: M-9, W-8
You wonder what kind of raise he would receive, if his teams were consistently in the top 5 !
3 of his 6 teams improved, 2 stayed the same and 1 finished lower. Pretty good considering the addition of Missouri and Texas a@m.
He's now on ~$25k
Keep in mind that he arrived at Alabama right when all of those talented Kenyan athletes left the program. The distance squad at that time was worth the vast majority of their track team points had to be rebooted from the ground up. Since then, scholarship money has been distributed more effectively to become competitive all-around in the SEC as well as on a national level.
He's a smart man and a hell of a recruiter. They'll continue to improve under his watch.

Everyone and their brother got offered that Maryland job. I probably know who you are. Living in Portland?

Hey, that's not bad for a 168-hour workweek.
How do the NCAA finishes add up? Remember, Alabama is a team that has little chance of ever winning the SEC with florida and A&M in track recruiting hot beds. I would think his goal is to build NCAA championship teams.

Whats worse if you're making 36k for a 168-hour workweek. It's Awesome!!!
I have about 10 years of higher ed PR experience and the U of Maryland wanted me to interview for a job paying $72K. Would have to be six figures to even just come out the same as what I have now.
