No. SPAR didn't pay all that money for their logo to not be seen on the athlete bib numbers. Altering the visibility of your competition bib is grounds for disqualification. He's a jackass and I'm glad he was disqualified.

I feel bad for him. He probably has the lowest IQ of all top level athletes competing in T&F. He is basically getting disqualified because of his intelligence level.

Should there be a minimum IQ required to enter in competitive events (or just have a separate category - I guess that exists already)?

You can see the SPAR logo perfectly clearly on his shirt when it is waving around in his mouth and I was not even paying attention to who the heck had their logos on the bibs until I read your post. What he did was somewhat distasteful but there is absolutely no way that he should have been disqualified if the EAA were acting rationally. Instead the EAA are now awarding a bronze medal to a convicted doper which is far more ridiculous.

I think he might be allowed to compete in the blind category at the paralympics. He must be because he missed the part about having to have a race number visible during the race.
