Pavey wins 10K gold and proves she's the world's best 40-44 age grouper.
Dude he barely beat his Brit teammate
I agree that he is the best.
But I don't know how winning a race where the best competition isn't there shows why he is the best.

Winning a race where the best competition isn't there shows why he is the best. Because all of his competition is in other events. He is the best in a weak event.
He won, but he's not the Farah of old. Didn't look as quick on the last lap -- I'm talking form, not time. If he races Diamond League this year he may very well get beat. He can get his best track form back, but not this year.
I agree with Les
Mo looked exhausted he was def not the old Mo
I hope he regain his shape back in this year
that damn marathon , i tell u
Good report and background info here:
Also, read the comments at the bottom of the article, cutting and acerbic remarks are not restricted to the LRMB.
Winning Europeans is like winning an Double AA baseball game.
Andy Vernon got silver. That is all you need to know. Vernon has never qualified for the Olympics or Worlds outdoors.
Not to take anything away from the Olympic champion who has dominated the long distances on the track in recent years, but he has only been the best because the real talent is moving to the marathon early.
Andy Vernon is very good this year

the comments make LRC look tame.
EPO references and more...
"A formality for Mo as his training allows him to cover Every Possible Outcome."
"Brilliant Somali first place. Good to see the Brit achieved a close second."
"Did you notice how awkward it got when Andy Vernon kept trying to celebrate with Farah - to enjoy his moment in the sun?
The latter didn't want to know and couldn't get away quick enough. The limelight's for me, me, me, me, me, me."
"Glory be to God. Another miraculous recovery. Where was he convalescing? Lourdes?
And if you believe all the hokey about his recent health issues, you'll believe anything."
Maybe people might give him a break for not running the commonwealths now. He clearly was struggling even just to win that race and is not in good shape. Clearly the illness has taking something out of him. He looked like he was making good progress in recovering from the marathon earlier in the summer. Can't see him running quick this summer now. I'm sure he will be back next year to challenge for medals at the worlds. If that was a global championships he would not have medallled. Mo is no coward and took on the worlds best in the marathon in London.
People keep saying he is a champion in a weak era. The world record only went a long way faster than Mos best when Geb ran 2631 in 97. Mo could also close faster than Geb and Tergat. Berkele is the only runner in history who would beat Mo in a championship 10000m when both were fully fit. In addition, to me, Bekeles performances are more suspect than Mos who is a public enemy number 3 ( behind only Rupp and Al Sal) on lets run. Jos Herman as manager is just as suspect as Al Sal as coach. closing a 10000m in 13 minutes dead is unbelievable to me. The world 5000m record only went under 13 minutes in 1987. Whatever he was taking at his best it seems he can't get away with anymore. Maybe that's why he has moved to the Marathon, he can stay in Ethiopia where there is 0 drugs testing and just come out of hiding once or twice a year to race.

False.
No would not beat Get. He was part of that race where the second half went sub 13. And this was out of his prime/injured state. He also ran 3:31 indoors.
Then there's Tergat who went to the line with Geb at the Olympics. And he has a faster PR.
Neither would get beat by Farah in a time trial 10k nor a championship 10k. They wouldn't leave it to a sit and kick race.
Running London had nothing to do with being or not being w coward. It was a business arrangement. A contract that he signed at least year earlier. Furthermore, he did not take on the world's best. Was he even still in the race at halfway?
Farah is a great runner but he competes in the weak events when he should he doing the 1500m instead.

They wouldn't leave in to a sit and kick? You mean like '97,'99' or 2000? When did Tergat ever close in a 53 last lap? I don't think Geb ever did. How are the events Farah does weak? The 5k has Gebremeskal, Gebrhiwet, Koech, Alamirew, Longosiwa,...
I know you're trolling but come on. After all of Farah's achievements, I don't get why people like you just can't admit he's one of the best ever.

Gebremeskel is the 5th fastest 5000 runner ever. Gebrhiwet is 7th, Koech 8th, Alamirew 10th. That's 4 out of the top 10 fastest 5000 runners ever that Farah's competing against! There's nothing weak about them.
The only reason you're saying this era is weak is because you've gotten used to the reign of freaks like Bekele, Geb, Komen etc. That wasn't a normal era, that was a ridiculously strong era.
There is going to be a 10K at Brussels this year I think? Let's hope Mo is there. It's time for him to risk it all in a big race. No title on the line, let's go for it Mo.
And I hope all the guys from this years fast 10K in Eugene show up too, throw in a healthy Gebremeskel, Jelian, Merga, c'mon let's have some fun with my one of my favorite events (that certain MISLEADED fools want to drop from the Olympics! NEVER!!!! HA HA!)
Pay a couple guys to set a fast even pace and let's GO! What the hell, Kenny B can use it as a Chicago warm up. C'MON you guys, don't be babies!
Oh great, I just read the title of another thread, Brussels dropping 10K.
I'm sending the ghost of Emil Zatopek on an international revenge SPREE tonight!!!! He'll seek out those responsible and make awful faces at them while he drags them at high speed around a cinder track, stepping on them with 3/8" spikes.
Tergat vs Geb in Sydney
Poor David Coleman was on his last legs.

epo was great stuff and should be decriminalized
on a lighter note, the op is clearly a troll
how does winning a sleazy backstreet contest demonstrate that mo is the worlds best
